Today's Master's degree is roughly equivalent to 1980's Bachelor's degree. To get a degree from NDSU in 1980 required an academic load of 20-22 credit hours (i.e. 20-22 hours of classroom time per week). It definitely cut into one's social life. Few EE majors had time to drink beer at the frat house. It's no wonder most EE's become gEEks.
